Artist Bio
Jessie Hodges was born in Long Island, NY and spent her early life in Rhode Island until moving to Santa Fe, NM three years ago when she was 13.

Jessie has been an artist for as long as she can remember. At the age of 5 she started attending continuing education art classes at Rhode Island School of Design and at age 10 also attended a summer camp at Taliesin West, the school that Frank Lloyd Wright founded in Arizona.

Jessie also has a passion for writing and poetry, which she often combines in her artworks. Jessie likes to work with the themes of bullying, exclusion, equality, folklore and beauty in the mundane.

Jessie is a student at Santa Fe Preparatory School. This summer 2014 she will be attending a summer residency program in sculpture at The Chicago Art Institute. Jessie is planning on majoring in sculpture combined with a media component in college.
