Artist Bio
Priyanka Makin is an engineer and emerging multidisciplinary artist specializing in creative technology and sculpture. Her expertise spans kinetics, circuit boards, and audio devices, alongside traditional handicrafts such as embroidery, film photography, and watercolor illustration.

Her projects delve into themes of identity, nature, and home with a touch of humor, reflecting her perspective as a mixed, anxious, first-gen American woman in STEM. She’s an advocate for inclusivity in STEAM by employing an open source pedagogy where she documents her process online and hosts educational workshops.

Makin is a co-founder of Material Kitchen, an online resource for sustainable materials. She holds a Masters of Professional Studies from the Interactive Telecommunications Program at Tisch, NYU and a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from CU Boulder.
