Memor-ii is an Interarts performance conceived at the Institute for Applied Creativity at Texas A&M. The program features live music performed by Lynn Vartan for percussion and electronics with interactive visualization faculty members Michael Bruner, Jinsil Hwaryoung Seo and Tim Weaver. This intimate program is based around the collective idea of “memories,” and includes music that speaks to this emotive state. The program begins with Ziu by Kato Daiko for marimba, digital delay and rainscape, and continues with Mirror of Heaven by Carolyn Borcherding for vibraphone and Supercollider programing. The program continues with the energetic Temazcal for maracas and electronics by Javier Alvarez and Middle Ground adapted from violin and digital effects for marimba by composer Robert Holstein. The program concludes with the quiet Ghost I Used to Know by Ivan Trevino
