"Age of Execution" is a collaborative audio-visual piece by Sid and Geri (video) and Brian Wenner (sound). "Age of Execution" originally debuted online in 2023 but we are interested in further showcasing this work in art/gallery settings. While this piece could be classified as a ""music video,"" we view it more as an experimental video piece. Both artists share an affinity for surreal aesthetics that lack narrative, but rather focus on challenging and amorphous forms. According to Sid and Geri, we tried to capture the surreal connection among reality, dreams, and anxieties, creating a fantasy narrative that elicits both fear and fascination in the post-pandemic era, while resonating with the essence of the track. The sound was created through layering and manipulating sampled audio, and then improvising with this audio using a modular eurorack system.
