This exhibition space within Currents New Media Festival will bring together a collection of artists who use holographic techniques to create artworks that present light as a sculptural form. The selected works explore the human relationship to the natural world through a phenomenological investigation of consciousness. These works explore the connection between the human figure performing multi-dimensional movement as well as light in it’s primary components of form, color and space. The perception of light as a tactile material opens the human experience to the potential for wonder that exists within common objects. This collection of current holographic work is bringing together artists from around the world including: Dora Tass(Italy), Rebecca Deem (USA), Mary Harman (Canada), Fred Unterseher (USA), August Muth (USA), Andrew Pepper (UK), C Alex Clark (USA), Michael Crawford (USA) as well as others.
