"Bustling Silence" is a multi-channel video installation that deals with the concepts of permanence vs. impermanence and the contradictory relationships at play between them. This contemplation gave birth to the idea of “unstable stability” which sounds oxymoronic but actually led me to create amorphous abstract forms that move at an overall sluggish pace while the materials that comprise them are engaged in continuous rapid agitations.
The installation set up consists of a double or triple-channel wall display and a single-channel display on a pedestal. The pedestal screen shows the details of the abstract form.
