Cankuş is a 4 episodes experimental animation series. It combines drawings, photography, google maps images, visual coding, video synthesis, 2D animation and poetry. It’s a walk through a psycho-political space in post-covid Turkey affected by inflation, authoritarianism, unequal urbanization and neoliberalism. It describes a mental noise caused by uncertainty but also searches for humor and poetry in all the confusion. Cankuş is a universe where mental space and reality, home and street are interwined; windows and screens act as gateways to metaphorical spaces; questioning our relationship to hegemonic medias and society.
