"days of late periods" is one of the #memoryconnectors of the many areas of the Szívküldi Lakótelep (szívküldi= heart-sent, lakótelep=social housing neighborhood), a multi-layered art project that I have been growing since 2018. This VR neighborhood considers the possibilities and dangers of ‘home’ in cyberspace. Its various areas (taking shape in VR, social VR and IRL gatherings) hold space for learning to be good ancestors and helpful digital doulas around the birth of AI; co-creating a safe space for the grandchildren. I’ve lived as an immigrant in various countries and cultures, continuously rerooting in different localities, nurturing and oscillating between offline and online, long-distance relationships long before social distancing and #movingonline become the new default. "days of late periods” is part of my exercises to gaze in the Eye of the Hurricane.
