Entangled Atlas
Entangled Atlas is an audio-visual narrative film installation structured as a diptych, and presents an allegorical world where spaces of everyday human life are filled with real-time projections of non-human landscapes. The film takes viewers on a narrative journey, the left hand side of the screen showing representations of ecosystems across the world, and the right hand side of the screen showing the "entanglements" of these landscapes with human spaces. Originally commissioned by Espacio Fundación Telefónica, "Entangled Atlas" was exhibited as part of their "Windows to the Future" exhibition. The work is a call for us to form deeper and long-lasting relationships with non-human kin; to simultaneously watch over and protect our only Earth with great attention and care, whilst also treading lightly and attempting to "leave no trace".
