(Fairgrounds) | Luxtriplicata
The main idea of Luxtriplicata is that children can play and integrate with it. I want to make art more accessible for them and hopefully arouse curiosity and creativity. Happines is the key word that I want to share with the children who visit the Currents Festival.
The work is composed of a rotatable plate on which I placed prisms. The plate is placed on a table and on the table there is a light source with white light. When white light hits the prisms all colors emerge from the color spectrum. These patterns and colors are then projected on the plate and walls around the room
(360 °).
The work also has a scientific level. I can explain and teach the children how and why these projections occur by talking briefly about light and color theory in an easy, fun and creative way.
