Intimate Distance is a video installation composed of two synchronized HD videos titled Intimate Distance I and II. I asked my family including myself to close their eyes in 3 minutes and to keep the closest distance but not trying to touch each other. My intention is to capture psychological ‘intimate moment’ from the physically closest distance and to show family dynamics by playing multiple roles of family by questioning what intimate relationships are, how to define roles of family, and how the intimate relationships of family affect who I am.
