The Magic Canopy is a three dimensional zoetrope developed by Ryterski Wonders. Typically, the Magic Canopy stands unattended in public spaces. The doors of the Magic Canopy say “Open Me”, inviting folks walking by to see what it does. When the user opens the Magic Canopy doors, they see a large white disk with a variety of rigid plastic characters fixed to the top of it. The user is instructed to press a glowing button, the disk starts to spin, and the characters appear to come to life, moving and dancing around the disk. The vibrant colors and unexpected animation within the Magic Canopy serve as a reminder that everyday life can be whimsical.
