(Virtual) | MASS 2.0
MASS 2.0 is a project that investigates novel choreographic possibilities made available by 2D screens connected to the internet under a live performance context, and a reflection on the offbeat nature of human connection during the time of a pandemic. Live audiences who have never seen the performance before will be asked to join us for a screen-based choreographic improvisation. The webcam feeds of all the participants will be programmatically delayed, cropped, shuffled, and collaged in varying forms. The brief is simple, we ask them to “Pay very close attention to us and to each other, and try to connect with us. No words, no sounds, only through movement”.
