(CCA) | Planets Domes
Planets Domes is a Maya particle simulation piece that utilizes NASA images of the galaxies as the ready-made source of simulation. With the side view from a 3D camera, the half semi-sphere of particles accumulate through time, showcasing the different colors and meditating on how much data is usually collected in order to construct those extra-celestial images.
This is the planet video chapter of the Galaxy series: side view simulations of 3D particles from videos of NASA planets such as Mars, Jupiter, Venus, and so on.
