Portal is an immersive sound installation that highlights the self, space, and sensory perception. Using 23Hz sine wave frequencies and modified speakers, large Mylar sheets are manipulated with vibrations, and take on the forms and movements of the sound waves. Standing within the work, visual fluctuations, glitches, repeating patterns, and reflections of oneself begin to emerge.
