POTLATCH
POTLATCH is an 11 minute+ documentary about an arts and dance festival which takes place inside a US prison, Hudson Correctional Facility in Colorado. Hudson houses prisoners from Alaska who have been outsourced there; once a year they are allowed to put on their version of the traditional Native American Potlatch festival. Many art, political, themes inform Potlatch but primarily it is film about dance, and the need to move, by people who are confined, often for the rest of their lives.
