(Railyard) | glee.glom.glob
glee.glom.glob is a series of interactive augmented reality installations across the Santa Fe Rail Yard. The installations aim to sit on the border of delight and disgust, with organic bacterial forms contrasting with pastel, holographic, instagram-inspired materials. The piece explores the increasingly blurry boundaries between our physical and digital worlds through playful procedural forms meshed with outdoor spaces.
Lauren and Sam share an interest in the increasingly blurry boundary between our digital and physical worlds. Their work explores social media moving from our screens to our spaces, and the ways in which that can be simultaneously disturbing and delightful. Their artistic practices span procedural software, interactive installations, social AR, and XR in all its forms. Their work has been viewed by millions of organisms on a variety of screens. They are currently based in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
