For Hsin-Yu, sound is an exploration of the world , an abstract but direct energy and an invisible mental power. His sound installation works discuss the spatiality, mechanism and translation of sound, and through the generative mechanism to response life experiences and issues. Compare to the complete planning and control, he think the randomness of sound and mechanism is more exciting and vitality.

His audio/visual performances are usually created through programming, focused on the relationship between sound and image and extend possibilities of the purest elements. He generally create and destroy structures in performances, and seem noise as a liberating
energy.
