SIMULACRA
"SIMULACRA" is an interactive video installation and an optophysical experimental arrangement.
Four LCD monitor panels, which are assembled in the form of a hollow square. A tangle of cables and control devices pours out of the middle of the square. All around it several magnifying lenses dangle from chains. Monitor doesn't display any pictures and shines with an intense white light. But with the magnifying lenses the function is restored. This happened with a analogue change in the technical order of digital imagesystems, and repositions the virtuality back into the viewers head, making it an mental cinema.
