"My work often reaches into the historical and cultural weight that Latinx immigrants carry with them to build visual language and disseminate concerns through celebration of indigeneity in which culture is put forth as an empowering agency that becomes a form of resistance, rebellion, and irreverent attitudes towards oppressive colonial power systems.
"These attitudes are often grounded in Latinx immigrant diaspora experiences of assimilation, transculturation, and the flux of cultural identities. Such pressing realities also acknowledge living with the uncertainty of returning “home” which points to an immigrants ability to construct spatial and temporal transborder lives that allow immigrants to transcend time and space." - Frederico Cuatlacuatl
