Totem defuses the light of a digital display behind an acrylic and plexi filter system. The aim is to see color and light closer to the way we view nature. As totems are representative of a tribe, this totem represents all people. Its grid of nine randomly changing dots are like a “face” looking back -Its red, yellow and blue colors harken back to the color world before computers. The whole “body” or background of Totem shifts color and brightness, like a changing sky.
