Artist Bio
Diana Sanchez is a design researcher, writer and media artist based in US. She also has been part of interdisciplinary teams with scientists, for both artistic explorations and bio-design projects. Her work asks questions around care in techno-science, climate emergency and the notions of spirituality in human and non human animals in the era of automation and advanced living sciences, and how all the above define and stretches what we find sacred, true, meaningful. Asking what is the myth making of our era? her speculations take roots in the now, with interest in writing, mythology, evolution studies and what some philosophers consider speculative realism. Her most recent work was done using machine learning to recover and repair and extinct birdsong that was meant for a duet, impossible now. She just graduated from the Digital and Media program at RISD.
