Artist Bio
ARCOS is a multimedia performance company that experiments rigorously to discover adventurous new forms of contemporary performance. Erica Gionfriddo and Curtis Uhlemann co-choreograph visceral, athletic movement, collaborating dynamically with multimedia artist Eliot Gray Fisher for a deeply interdisciplinary experience. ARCOS was commissioned by SITE Santa Fe to create an interactive performance and presented work at Currents, {254} Dancefest, Barnstorm Dance Festival, and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, where the company’s production The Warriors: A Love Story received Mervyn Stutter’s “Spirit of the Fringe” award in 2014. ARCOS has been awarded artistic residency at Playa Summerlake in Oregon, Ucross Foundation in Wyoming, and KHN Center for the Arts in Nebraska, Colorado College, and Texas State University and received grants from the Rea Charitable Trust, National Endowment for the Arts, Donors Trust, Hatchfund, and New Mexico Arts.
