Artist Bio
I am an artist, composer, and educator interested in the dynamics and dialogue between architecture and sound. My work encourages the development of the musical composition of spatial environments and the spatial design of musical structures guided by the goal of ‘making meaning’ by integrating the ancient with the avant-garde. I received my M.Arch from SCI-Arc where I received the Best Thesis Honor (now the Frank Gehry Prize) and am currently a Ph.D. Candidate at UCSB Department of Media, Art and Technology where my dissertation is focused on the transformative territory between architecture and music. I have held positions at USC School of Architecture, and SCI-Arc teaching studios and seminars that focus on the role of sound and music within architecture using interactive systems and have had the honor to be part of critiques and juries at SCI-Arc, USC, Columbia, Woodbury, and Art Center.
