Halim Madi
Artist Bio
Halim Madi is a Lebanese computational poet and performance artist exploring how long-term collaboration with language models transforms authorship, identity, and creative labor. His work spans installation, live writing, algorithmic theater, interactive poetry systems, and documentary poetics. Halim’s ongoing series singulars.exe investigates reciprocal training between human and machine through staged writing duels where audience votes feed directly into retraining the model. The project has been presented in San Francisco, Paris, Barcelona, and Buenos Aires, and continues to evolve across multiple iterations. His broader practice engages questions of porous authorship, machine influence, and the shifting boundaries of the artist’s body and voice under algorithmic pressure. Halim is an artist in residence with Mozilla’s Counterstructures, Gray Area, and Culture
