Jessica Hankey’s projects in photography and video explore cultural institutions through their buildings. In her work, physical, material conditions serve as entry points into the social life of these organizations. In the ongoing project “Women’s Club,” a hundred-year old classical revival clubhouse serves as a site of production to consider the life of the still-extant women’s organization it houses.
