Artist Bio
M. J. Hood (Micah Hood) is an electronic music composer and performer based in Albuquerque, NM. His music melds emotive melodies with broken rhythms, creating moving soundscapes with brooding layers, ranging from ambient/experimental/downtempo to uplifting electronica and breakbeat. His first EP release ”Sun Dogs" containing the New Mexico Music Awards-nominated track “Miss You,” is available for download on iTunes, Beatport and other music outlets. Micah teaches music theory at Santa Fe Community College, manages the MAST Project music technology lab at the University of New Mexico and is working on his next electronica album release, “SINGULAR”.
