As a multimedia artist, Mitchell Gustin circumnavigates many art forms as he brings forth honest and compelling work. His attraction to working within and combining different mediums spawns from his move to Seattle, Washington from Southern California in the Fall of 2011, where he absorbed the dynamic and limitless possibilities of performance created by artists within the Seattle scene. With this inspiration, he began diving further into the world of video, experimenting with moving backdrops for his performances on stage and editing short video of captured performance. He has also been growing as a composer and a pianist, writing work for solo piano, mixed ensemble, chorus, string quartet, and electro-acoustic combinations. He is versed in creating ambient electronic music through live audio processing software called AudioMulch, where he improvises with field recordings, voice, alto saxophone, keyboard, ocarina, and found objects.
