Mollye Bendell
Artist Bio
Mollye Bendell is an interdisciplinary artist with a focus in electronic and digital media. She has created radio sculptures as a resident of Wave Farm, and developed augmented and virtual reality projects as a resident of Harvestworks Digital Media Arts Center and the Tides Institute and Museum of Art. She is a founding member of the artist collective strikeWare, which aims to amplify stories critical to our American history, often using new media to emphasize the urgency of that history. strikeWare were finalists for the Sondheim Artscape Prize in 2020 and in 2021 received an Independent Artist Award and a Baker Artist Award. Mollye has exhibited in venues including the Baltimore Museum of Art, the New York Electronic Art Festival, and Aalborg University, Copenhagen. She currently teaches Immersive Media Design at University of Maryland, College Park.
