Artist Bio
New Genres Collective was founded by Jeff Page and Tobias Fike (both Art Instructors with their own art practices) along with Design student, Alex Killgore. The NGC is comprised of students from various disciplines who study at the Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design in Denver. The NGC acts as a lab and a creative forum for art students to explore the vast boundaries between media in the form of colaborative performance, happenings, screenings and exhibitions. Most projects take place in unconventional spaces off-campus such as an urban alleyway, a converted gas station or an abandoned storefront. The goal of the NGC is to foster the potential of collaboration across disciplines and provide a platform for artistic experimentation.
