Pepi and Julia are a NYC-based artist duo who create physical installations using code, electronics, and physical fabrication. Their practice often explores nature, climate justice, and technology. Drawing inspiration from the hidden systems and rhythms of the natural world, their work brings viewers closer to the environments they move through every day. Their projects often use real-time data to drive kinetic motion, placing their work at the edge of sculpture and data visualization. Pepi and Julia believe art should be shared. They regularly organize and facilitate electronics workshops in community spaces such as SIGGRAPH and NYC Resistor. Committed to accessibility in tech, they ensure that their project files, build instructions, and code are fully open-source and available to the public.
