Artist Bio
Rachel Harris-Huffman is a conceptual artist and writer based in Syracuse, NY. Originally from Bradford, PA, she recently returned to the Northeast after living in New Mexico for 18 years and Scotland for one. Harris-Huffman holds an MLitt in Art Writing from the Glasgow School of Art, a BFA in Fine Art from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, and undertook studies in Arts and Nonprofit Management at the University of New Mexico.
As a visual artist working in mixed media with found and original photography and the written word, Harris-Huffman has exhibited her work in Albuquerque, NM; Chicago, IL; Glasgow, UK; and New York, NY. Her current body of work explores contemporary and historical conceptions of women’s societal “value,” pain, and sexuality through an intersectional feminist lens.
