Artist Bio
Urszula Bolimowski is a European-born artisan living in the U.S. since 1970.
She attended the Paier College of Art in New Haven, CT and began explorations with numerous collaborators doing experimental performance art (as a dancer, costumer and set designer). After moving to Seattle, WA in the 80s, she worked on solo performance pieces at venues such as On The Boards and the Meany Hall for Performing Arts. Since arriving in New Mexico in 1992, she has contributed her art and design sensibilities to independent films, local theater groups, and music festivals such as The Drum Is The Voice Of The Trees.
Her main focus of interest is in the creation of environments (theater, interior design, or installation). Currently, she works with found and re-cycled elements (metal, paper products, CDs, etc…) for use in “set” works and other mysterious applications.
