Victoria DeBlassie
Artist Bio
I was born, raised, and now based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, after living in Florence, Italy, for the past thirteen years. After receiving my BFA from the University of New Mexico in 2009 and my MFA from the California College of the Arts in 2011, I was awarded a Fulbright Grant to Italy and a Berlin Fulbright Seminar Travel grant. I have participated in numerous residencies, including most recently: Thomas Wood Art Residency at Il Bisonte, Foundation for Printmaking; and UNIDEE, Sustaining Embedded Art Practices. A recent solo exhibition includes Cascading Citrus curated by MUSE at the Palazzo Medici Riccardi in Florence, Italy. One of my latest group-selected shows includes Post Print Media at the Galleria Il Bisonte, curated by Silvia Bellotti. When I am not making my artwork, I am teaching art at the Native American Community Academy.
