Artist Bio
Die-Cast is an artist collective that believes in radical collaboration. We create mixed-media installations and immersive performance art. Our work is site-responsive, be it in a physical, digital, or natural environment. We use a collective creation process that has all artists involved in the creation of text, movement, and world-building. We have created 24 pieces since our founding in 2017, with highlights: Inter Terrestrial, commissioned by the I-Park Open Air Gallery, featured both a physical installation as well as a VR version. Snagglpuss was nominated for the Harvey Award for Best Adaptation of a Comic Book alongside Hollywood blockbusters like Marvel Studio’s Avengers: Endgame. Temporary Occupancy, commissioned for Art Week Miami 2020, combined pre-recorded and live-streaming video projected two stories high. It won the $ 20,000 Juried Prize.
