Planet of the Bored Apes is an immersive performance and mixed-media piece exploring disruptive technology’s promise. D-C creates our work as a collective. For POTBA, we invited OpenAI into our ensemble, with AI contributing text, images, video, and even storylines. As an immersive piece, visitors move around the space to experience simultaneous storylines. This iteration would be staged among the other works in the gallery at scheduled performances. Moments include: A man has lost his NFT and hopes you will help An idealist explains exactly why they are emptying your digital wallet A digital asset discovers they have been burned and awaits their Maker in the void Planet of the Bored Apes is a love letter to a technological future with the hope that the future will love us back
