Artist Bio
"Through digital media, I seek to use moving images, space, and sound to create works that are intriguing, meaningful and fun. Sometimes the goal of my work is to explore a specific narrative such as the influence of technology on our lives. Other times I am inspired by the beauty of color, shape and light in a certain piece of video footage or animation. Working with digital media also allows me to experiment with sound as an art element and expressive tool. Coming from a sculptural background, much of my digital work explores ways to combine video with traditional sculpture techniques. I am continually looking for new ways to place video within forms, project images from within sculptures or onto surfaces. My installation work explores the use of composition to give the viewer a new way of considering a space and creative use of traditional video platforms such as television or projection."
