Artist Bio
LEVL9 is the digital-art persona of a Santa Fe artist and designer with a background in painting, printmaking, photography, graphic arts and gallery curation. Imagery generated via dozens of programs and apps explores a wide range of technical effects but remains grounded in studio art and art-historical context. The artist’s own drawings and photographs are used as source material and transformed into sequences of futuristic, baroque or pop-art images. Explorations in animating sequences of original still images have included the 90-minute feature "GlitchWaves" which was screened with live electronic music by contemporary composers.
