Artist Bio
Melisa Yağmur Saydı was born in Istanbul in 1998. After studying cinema and anthropology, she shot her first film in Chile on the social uprising of 2019. She later completed her Master's in Arts in Marseille. She mostly works on experimental film, video, and animation. However, she has a multidisciplinary practice mixing poetry, photography, video, visual coding, sound design, musical composition, VJing, 2D animation, and scenography. Her films have been shown in various exhibitions and screenings, including Festival OVNI, where she received the Sud Emergence Award, at MAM Rio for Festival ECRÃ, MAC Marseille, Friche la Belle de Mai, Northwest Film Forum, ExtraCity, and various other platforms. Currently, she works as an artist between Istanbul and Marseille.
