Artist Bio
Michelange Quay is a Haitian American filmmaker, performance artist, educator and developer of the therapeutic language called Ancestral Hypnosis. He is the developer of the hybrid musical genre electrovaudou - the meeting between Haitian ancestral rhythms and modern electronica. His contemporary art practices focuses the poetic space where performance in cinema and hypnosis meet, both for actors and the audience - film viewing as hypnotic ritual. His current ongoing film project is indeed called THE BLACK BOX.
