Artist Bio
Mudmittens is a collision and collaboration of two minds (Lori Swartz and Patty Bilbro) in pursuit of ideas, identity, objects, and the expansion of time. We live and create in the high desert village of Madrid, NM, population 250. We are queer, lesbian, non-binary artists focusing on experimental film, movement, performance, and collaborations with AI. We are exploring new and old mediums with the goal of fresh and raw expression. Questions of identity, time, death, presence, and connection are threads found throughout. Our collaboration is also the perfect excuse to dress weird and do bizarre things.
