Artist Bio
Oracle Plus is an Abiquiu based surrealist multimedia performance duo consisting of siblings Gel and Steph Lister. Since 2013 they have conjured a symbolic visual language for crafting their other-worldy live performances, employing an intuitive psychic process unique to siblings. They utilize synchronized choreography, astrology, found artifact, repurposed set materials and costumes, vintage video and sound equipment as well as contemporary video and sound programing software. They have received multiple performance grants from The Lab in San Francisco for public performance and have independently toured the United States from 2014-2019. Both Gel and Steph Lister received Bachelor’s degrees in Art and Technology from Mills College in 2021. Themes of psycho-spiritual initiation, technological criticism and collective divination are present in their work.
