Artist Bio
Scott Sutton’s passion is for creating environmental and ecological art that reflects a sense of place in a diversity of forms. Scott’s works is influenced by his background in fine art, landscape architecture, and 3d fabrication. This has created opportunities for developing works of art that explore new artistic terrains using a diversity of mediums and technologies. The mediums for artistic expression exist in both locally sourced, natural materials, and living ecosystems. The integration of traditional tools and modern equipment such as projectors, 3d printers, cnc router, laser cutter have enabled the development of dynamic works of art. These site specific projects have focused on creating both 2d and 3d works of art that become functional forms of architecture that speak to the complex relationships that are interwoven between nature and culture.
