Vincent Ciciliato is artist and lecturer in Digital Arts at the Jean Monnet University of Saint Étienne, and researcher at the CIEREC laboratory. After university training and doctoral research, strongly articulated with the plastic exploration of new media, he joined between 2010 and 2012 the Fresnoy - National Studio of contemporary arts of Tourcoing. In general, his works explore some reformulations of the individual body, proprioceptive, but also relational, induced by the systemic use of electronic and computer technologies. The body is approached both on the side of the representative sphere and that of the interaction between art work and spectator. More particularly, several of his pieces question the temporal modifications of the gestures of the individuals by the electronic time, by questioning the notions of micro-movement and postural mechanization.
